Debut is a new kind of bank being built from the ground up by and for all Kiwis (New Zealand). I helped them create a new brand identity. The logo is a geometric play on the concept of interactivity and connectivity, of moving shapes. It also includes the simplified shape of the letter "D". The wordmark is also customized with the ascender of the letter "b" mirroring the letter"t" and creating a more cohesive set of letters. The new brand soon evolved into a distinctive visual system, with an engaging and fresh color palette. The identity relies on positive photography and playful black and white illustrations. This system was later incorporated into the UI of several elements of the banking app. I maintained the same clean yet approachable design to the digital design of the brand.
